Acrylic for Beginners

I will be conducting a virtual class for the Pacific Art League in Palo Alto. It’s a four week class. During this class, we will create four floral inspired paintings. We will explore Matisse techniques and create an Expressive Floral using color blocking and a Matisse color palette. Next we will create a Contemporary Floral using GOLDEN Soft Gel Gloss and subtractive painting with color shapers. In another class, we will paint a color field using fluid acrylics with metallic washes and mono-printing with leaves. We will also create a painting with poppies and wildflowers and learn the value of tints and tones. During these classes, students will learn about the difference in fluid acrylic, heavy body acrylic, High Flow Inks and soft gel gloss.
